I agree with Dave Davis who posted this as a comment on a Rush Limbaugh site: I am thankful for Americas problems. Im thankful that... We have the money, time, and luxury to publicly protest, shriek and yell about the 1% having more than us; instead of living in some small village without electricity, still cooking over a fire. We have the luxury of publicly complaining about being offended because someone rolled their eyes, called us a name or turned up their nose at us; instead of being stoned or beheaded because of our alternative lifestyles. We can believe in Christ, Jehovah, Buddha, Allah, or whine and sue because we believe in nothing at all; instead of living in a country where Convert or Die are the only options. We live where it is so rare for the police to kill a citizen, that the entire nation is riveted, shocked and pays attention; instead of living where its official government policy to use terror and execution to control the people. We can snark and spout off about white privilege and how its unfair because we arent all living some made up, fairytale life; instead of living where it is literally against the law for people of different backgrounds to interact. We live where a woman, walking the streets of our largest city, can make the point of being offended by men catcalling her; instead of being arrested for prostitution for being in public without a male escort. We live in a nation so compassionate, humble, and kind that our enemies use it against us; knowing that we will put our soldiers in danger before we will attack a school or place of worship, even when we know the enemy is using it for protection. Thank God for the USA!
