I agree with Mayor David Alvords post: Seems like a lot of people are disappointed in Mia Loves first vote: the vote for Speaker Boehner. First of all, Mathesons vote, and Doug Owens vote would have been for Nancy Pelosi. So theres that. Second, as much as were all disappointed in the Republicans recent kowtowing to the Democrats, and Boehner is partly responsible for that. However, the alternatives werent that attractive. Louie Gohmert was the only other Republican with any support. Check YouTube, and youll see that Gohmert may not have the right temperament to represent the Republican Party. I think we cut Mia some slack on this vote, and recognize that she didnt have a strong option.
