I almost forgot I have to give 9 random facts until I saw Jenni Sts post today. So here you go Stacey Lewis Harris... #1: I have a used book & coffee mug addiction. I rarely leave Goodwill without one or the other. #2: Dream BFFs: Nate Berkus & Tina Fey. #3: I still dont know what Im going to be when I grow up. My dream job lies somewhere between working in a hardware store, community organizing & being some kind of storyteller. Im almost positive it doesnt include working with 8th grade girls or opportunistic people...theyre the worst. #4: Some of my best friends are my mothers age. I was recently told I have an old soul and thought it was a beautiful compliment. (Which may also explain why I love driving around in my 90 year old grandmothers 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora.) #5: Super Snacks For Super Kids is one of the most fun and rewarding projects Ive ever worked on. I love the good its done for my local community, but even more, I love that other communities are embracing it. For 4 years, I was paid by an organization to systematically educate others about nutrition and, I believe, I had far less of an impact. Its amazing to see a grassroots project like ours start to change how that ineffective system works. #6: Ive never been further west than Denver. I really want to go to the west coast. If youre interested in traveling with me, message me and lets plan a trip! #7: Social justice type issues press my buttons - always have, and I think, probably always will. I believe it started with Amy Sonsalla Zembroski and a little Bi-State wrestling incident. I totally understand that life isnt completely fair, but when people in positions of power get to decide fairness for certain people or groups - thats the shit I struggle with. #8: I dont blog much anymore because it takes me a long time before I feel like Im saying something of much value. My girl, Abi Zimmerman, is kicking the shit out of her blog right now and its inspiring & really fun to watch her do it. #9: I currently have dog hair tumbleweeds in my house and the guinea pig cage smells like the monkey house at the zoo, and Im on Facebook...
