I also would like to specifically thank some people that made my Campaign so incredibly successful, and in no way is the following list inclusive of everyone, but first - I want to give thanks to My Lord and Savior for giving me the strength and fortitude to get through the last 15 months. Through Him all things are possible. To my wife, Lisa, for putting up with me at times when I know I was stressed and insufferable, and for helping to plan a wedding during the chaos of a campaign, and for her unfading love and support. To my Mom & Dad and the rest of my family, for their love and support throughout this campaign, and for giving me the principles and ethics that have been the backbone of my campaign and my plan for Waller County. To all of my personal friends and family members that supported me with words of encouragement and contributions to my campaign, especially early on which enabled my campaign to get off to such a great start. To all of the folks that generously donated to my campaign because they believed in me and my plans for Waller County. Between the primary and the general election, campaign expenses exceeded $80,000 and there is no way I could have run this campaign successfully without their financial support along the way, and somehow many of you donated right at a time when it was needed most, whether you knew it or not. To my Campaign manager Anthony Edmonds, who helped me manage the campaign signs all over the county, along with Corey Slone, who spent countless hours running all over the county putting up campaign signs while eating jelly worms... I can not count how many folks complimented me on the sign coverage we had throughout the county. To Matthew Menke for serving as my campaign treasurer and making sure we stayed on task for filing all of our campaign finance reports on time. To my campaign consultant Chad Krowe of KC Strategies - whose advice and expertise was invaluable through the entirety of my campaign. To my legal assistant Sheila Mundy - a HUGE thank you for all of her help throughout the campaign - whether it was scheduling, fielding phone calls, or helping me keep campaign donations and expenses in order... I could not have done it all without her. (And she still helped me run a law office at the same time) To the army of volunteers that put in the time to help me block walk and knock on doors and work the polls, including but not limited to, Diana Tatum, Beth Kelly, Tom Rees, Billy Frazier, Mike Lee, Jack Gibbs, Jill Junek, Joshua Rush, Gina Ro, Collin Davenport, Scott Griffin, Misty Marlow, Lillie Ruby, Sam Eng, Justin Beckendorff, Marvin Hood, Jen Braband Gibbons, Rhonda Plata, Larry & Katherine Jones and their kids John Phillip and Miranda, Doris & Houston Butcher, and many others... To my Pattison support team - Heath & Meagan Tharp, Rosemary and A.J. Gambino, and Boone Smith - for all of their help and support early on, which will never be forgotten... To Congressman Michael McCaul, State Senator Glenn Hegar, State Reps Cecil Bell, Jr., Lois Kolkhorst, Allen Fletcher, and John Zerwas for their endorsements and belief in my campaign... even when it was politically disadvantageous to do so... and to Judge Buddy McCaig for giving me the initial push to seek this office many many months ago. To Elton Mathis - for his friendship, advice, encouragement, and wise counsel from the very beginning and throughout the entire election; and Commissioner Amsler - for his advice and support, in addition to Commissioner-Elect Russell Klecka, for his help at the polls and with signs, and Commissioner Barnett for his words of encouragement, and Commissioner-Elect Justin Beckendorff for his help with signs in Precinct 4. To my neighbors in Willow Creek Farms, for their support and patience with my numerous FB postings... ;) To the Republican Party of Texas and the Republican Women of Waller County - for their support and hard work to keep Waller County RED!! To the West I-10 Chamber, Waller Area Chamber of Commerce, and the folks at Contract for Waller County - for hosting candidate forums and for asking for candidates to commit to certain governing principles that are important to all Waller County citizens. To Mike & Karen McCall, Butch & Mary Edmonds, Evilio Fernandez of Goya Foods, and Greg Brown of Cowboys & Indians Magazine - for hosting fundraisers for me. And to anyone else that I am sure I have failed to list here, but should have.... And lastly to all of you - my Facebook family - for sharing and liking and commenting, and spreading the word to your family, friends, and co-workers about my campaign. I will give you a break for now from my incessant posts and reminders... but if its important for you to know - I will still post... ;) THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!! It was a team effort from the beginning. I am forever indebted to all of you for your support, encouragement, love, faith, and much more... and to the citizens of Waller County - thank you for your overwhelming vote of support this past Tuesday... Waller County has spoken. Now it is time to get to work... I will do everything I can to honor your vote by working as hard as I can everyday to prepare our County for the months and years ahead, and to always do so in a completely open and transparent manner, so that everyone has the opportunity to be included in the decisions that are made everyday that affect their lives. And I welcome ANYONE who wants to join me in this effort to make Waller County a better place. I know that this was a tough campaign - in the primary and during the general election. But anyone that wants to work together to do the work that needs to be done and who is willing to put personalities aside and put Waller County first - you are always welcome to join the effort. I have often said that None of us are as strong as all of us. It is time for this County to come together - whether its north/south, black/white, old/new, our strength lies IN our diversity.. and TOGETHER we can prepare for the coming growth and make Waller County an even BETTER place to live, work, and play. Because of all of the folks mentioned here, Waller County has a bright future ahead of it... and with your continued support, I have no doubt that we can make Waller County an even better place for future generations to live and raise families, to work and earn a living, and to make a future for our children... From my heart - THANK YOU!!! For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
