I always ask mare owners for a testimonial for Archie web page but knowing how bust people are am always amazed when they take the time to write one, received today from Liz Williams the breeder of Petal posh name Amaryllis :-) ex her Show Cob Mare Tiger Lily . Thank you Liz and Ian for choosing Archie for your special Girl x A big thanks to Avanti Amouorus Archie and Rita for enabling us to be the delighted owners of Amaryllis ( Petal) . We choose Archie as the match for Tiger Lily as we are breeding for ourselves and as mature riders, temperament, trainabilityand being a nice person was as important as paces, colour and comformation. Archie offered all of these. I was suprised when, on arranging to meet them, Rita said, Bring your hat and boots. You;ll want to ride him? I was recovering from major joint replacement and had just started riding again, albeit one handed, at home. No worries - Archie was a dream and within twenty minutes I was happliy cantering him round the school. With excellent veterinary service for optimim timing and the early morning collection provided, Lily took first time. So one year later we now have the most adorable beautiful filly. Archie does really stamp his stock. I have noticed how, not just our Petal, but other Archie fillies, have such very pretty faces and the elegant Head of a Duchess as they mature. For an amatuer owner who is breeding to keep, it can seem a bit daunting,, but thanks to Archie, Rita and Chiltern Equine Vets, and our Tiger Lily of course, we have a mare enjoying being a Mum and a strong and beautful filly.
