I always enjoy it when FB friends share their creativity. So I thought I would share with you a summer project that has brought me many happy creative hours and now much pleasure. I found this Drexel vanity in a local thrift shop for $45. Using Annie Sloan paint and gilding wax I transformed it into what you see now. The drawer fronts and vanity top as well as the mirror were finished with a crackle effect. All of the vanity accessories were "finds" that Mark and I have made while scouring flea markets and thrift shops on our travels...the porcelain lamp bases in Mendocino, CA, the French porcelain perfume bottles from another venue, etc. I love sitting here each morning as I prepare for the day ahead.
