I always feel like words come easily. They well up from the deep places of my heart and spill out onto the screen. But as I reflect on all of the tragedies overseas and the loss of Robin Williams so suddenly, my words seem like wind. How can words ever change such enormous realities? And it is then that I am reminded by the voice of the Holy Spirit that the power of life and death is in our tongue. Our words can inspire hope, our prayers can move mountains, our words can change the course of someones destiny. Use your words wisely today. Use them to encourage. Use them to empower. Use them to bring awareness. Its going to be okay. You just might need to remind someone else as well.
