I always found it interesting that David Crosby thought The Byrds - TopicsExpress

I always found it interesting that David Crosby thought The Byrds were lame compared to Buffalo Springfield. He didnt enjoy playing with McGuinn as much as Stills & Young (who were in the Buffalo Springfield). The Byrds ended up having the larger catalog of great songs, but for some reason Crosby thought they werent as cool. He did show up for The Byrds Hall of Fame induction in 1991 and Im sure glad he was on that stage to play with Gene Clark who would die of a heart attack later that year. Gene also sang at a benefit I put on for Aids Project L.A. in 1990. He was a very nice guy. Back to Crosby and the COOL FACTOR. Crosby also reunited with The Byrds at points. This band played a very important role in the evolution of Folk Rock and I hope Mr. Crosby appreciates the huge contributions he and his band mates made. They were MORE important (in historical prospective) than The Springfield (WHO I ADORE BTW). Just wanted to throw that out there for discussion.
