I always get excited when I receive an update about an animal that has been saved from Dillon but last night was different. An adopter let me know that her pup from Dillon had to be put to sleep. Violet was her name and she was a shy little girl that without help would have surely been put to sleep at the shelter. Her adopter had saved dogs from Dillon before and took no time in getting sweet Violet to safety. Violet had done really well up until a week ago. Her human companion found out that Violet had an inoperable tumor and it was affecting her movements, vision, and behavior. I am so thankful that Violet had a chance to know what a real family feels like and that she didnt die alone and scared. You never know whats going to happen when you adopt an animal but you do know for the little while that you have them, they will know LOVE. Prayers and tears shed for the family.
