I always heard people say that you dont know what love really means until you lay your eyes on your own child. But I beg to differ. Love is a word and the feeling you have when you look at your child cannot be put into words. There is no word for it known to mankind. The emotions that come over me when I even think of Alaynah are some that could never be compared to. When your child is going through something in their life that is hard, as a parent you want to save them. You want to take all their troubles away somehow. It is the most helpless feeling in the world when you cant do that for them. No matter what my mom and dad have done over the past 27 years of raising children, it all makes sence now. There is no right or wrong way to parent. You just do the best you can and hope and pray that its good enough. I want to thank my mom and dad from the absolute bottom of my heart for all they have done. I wouldnt know how to love this much of it werent for yall. I wouldnt know how to keep fighting for Alaynah right now if not for you guys. You have done everything you could do and more and I will forever be grateful.
