I always knew that I have been resistant to change but I didnt realize Dr. Shaws retirement was going to effect me so much until today. As we got ready to leave I was giving her well wishes and telling her thanks and she turned around to me and told me a detailed story about something that happened to Jonathan during and the weeks that followed after he was born. She could recall small details that happened over 13 yrs ago that I had forgotten and as we walked down the hall she continued with remember when stories and it just makes you realize that this lady was way more than a Dr. To your children. I literally had to struggle to fight back the tears. I am so happy she is able to retire but dang were sure gonna miss her. Its gonna be a tough job to replace her.
