I always knew that nurses were something special. But to see them - TopicsExpress

I always knew that nurses were something special. But to see them in action was amazing. To say thank you is not enough... My visit with mom wasnt necessarily good. On Friday night we literally surrounded her bed thinking that we were losing her. There wasnt a dry eye in the room ... then two nurses stepped in and literally saved her life...One, Kelsey, by quickly getting her something as simple as oxygen and the other, Sandy, by realizing that she had horrible pneumonia quickly without even running any tests... after she was given the oxygen and given just one breathing treatment she was at least talking to us and knew we were there... my niece, Sarah, was able to get her to take sips of water (Sarah can get her to do just about anything! She has mad granddaughter skills! Like a ninja!) By Saturday morning, my sister Frances... an angel among us as well... got her to eat a WHOLE bowl of Cheerios and a WHOLE banana... She was able to ask to see her sister and nephew again and also her brother, Jack Champ, was able to visit with her. Ken & Tabitha Tolley were there and helped mom so much. Jim Tolley (who is NOT on facebook or I would tag him) is an amazing man. He can make chicken salad like none other and mom asks for more!
