I always post hopeful or comical bits of news and photos. Today, however, is one of the saddest in our lives at Wally’s Friends. We have recently lost two of our most beloved employees, Cole Norris and Barbara Storman. Cole is obviously the young man on the left, and Barbara is the beautiful woman in the second photo holding the little dog, Louise. Cole was gentle and loving with each animal. He was responsible for caring for three little Chihuahuas we took in, giving them meds each day, and never left at night without sitting with Princess Jasmine, or Tigger as he called her. Once feral, Cole rehabilitated her on his own, and she now has a wonderful home. He was always ready to help anyone, funny, and rottenly sarcastic in a gentle manner! He took ownership in his role at Wally’s. Barbara was a sweet genuine woman. She remained strong in her fight against cancer and took wonderful loving care of our clients. Her world revolved around her tiny dog Asher. She listened to all the stories clients had to share, and gave articulate information to each phone call. The heavens have two more shining stars, but we are here without them. Our clinic will never be the same. Four legged and two legged friends have lost two compassionate people. They were outstanding employees, but more importantly they were our family. Eileen
