I always remember one particular kitten out of numerous litters who had a close encounter with the looking glass. A large picture size mirror was in the hallway awaiting placement on the bedroom wall. This little kitten a couple weeks younger than this one was sauntering by and caught himself in the mirror. I had never seen such vigorous and exaggerated defensive posturing from a young kitty. And the longer we watched the more determined he became in his efforts to drive off the interloper. The memory still brings a smile to my heart.
