I always see comments (like on this video) that Lenny Bruce became unfunny and rambled incoherently and all that, but it is so clear that he was just frustrated, tired from being railroaded for speaking his mind in a country that claimed free speech, for being arrested for the type of comedy that we take for granted today. I dont find it to be unfunny at all, while these arent structured comedy bits (from everything Lenny Bruce ever said he wasnt a big fan of having to do the same bits over and over anyway) but the brilliant mind was still there, and he makes many points that are still quite relevant today (sadly). Anyway, worth a listen if youre a Lenny Bruce fan, or just a Comedy fan. It was Lenny Bruce who set the standard for modern American Comedians, and its always sad to me that more people dont remember him even if just for that reason alone.
