I always think about 1998, when I produced my first show for Lisa Perry that night my true passion was born, I also remember even though I had a great support system I also had a group of people that didnt want me to accomplish my dreams. I remember people telling me I would never make it, I also remember a group of people that purposely tried to shut me down,I remember being on set and no one knew me so they were naturally mean to me, I also remember stores telling me WE DONT WANT THE WRONG PEOPLE IN OUR CLOTHES, one guy even said we laugh at Willie and we will always say no to him because hes going no where, I remember going to ask a store to pull from for an upcoming fashion show, he told me no in the past because he said I wasnt his market and my shows arent big enough, I remember going back to him one last time, I was excited because I knew he would tell me yes he wants to work with me this time because of the type of show I was producing and the sponsors. He yelled at me and told me to get out of his store no one in Dallas,Tx. is going to work with me, if he was going to work with a show producer or stylist it wouldnt be somebody like me when I heard those words, I left I went on the side of the building, I started to tear up then I said this will be the first and last time I get denied by anybody so I set a standard for myself, I worked hard, I gave a no excuse policy, it went from there.
