I always thought of embracing the innovations and stylistic - TopicsExpress

I always thought of embracing the innovations and stylistic progressions of the oppressed and/or neglected (slept on) peoples of this world was a good thing. Ive had a deep passion for world philosophy, music, and other art for over a decade and an even deeper passion for hip hop thats lasted almost two decades. Now the PC drones are decrying my Love of diverse style and perspective and language as cultural appropriation, co-opting, and even the new black face. Well, were they ever at a lecture given by Chuck D where he plainly stated that The Beastie Boys discovered Public Enemy and gave them their big break? Do they even know who Rick Rubin is? Do they know that Allen Ginsberg kissed Saul Williams and spoke with him about the importance of chanting om and the alignment of the chakras mere days before his death? Do they know that George Carlin was doin the dozens back in the 70s before it was ever called battle rap? No? Well, they can take their superficial divisive nonsense elsewhere.
