I always told the young guys that I worked with in Ravenswood Generating Station that a movie should have been made about all of our adventures as well as mis adventures in that place. I would always pick out actors to play certain guys. Alex Kees, a young, great mechanic, handsome, and all round good guy would be played by Brad Pitt. John Thelen, the smartest guy I ever met would have to be played by an actor who looked like Albert Einstein. That is how smart John was. Tommy Equinda could have been played by a very altruistic Jack Warden. Hkis best friend, Charlie CHOOLOTS Weydig would be played by Ray Liotta. Tommy Rizzo would have been played by David Diamond ( Screech ) from SAVED BY THE BELL . Vinny Hill would have been played by Paul Newman. Artie POPS Habeeb would have been played by R. Lee Ermey ( The drill instructor from FULL METAL JACKET ). Tony CRAZY TONY Castellano would have been played by Italian actor, Franco Nero. And Joe CRAZY JOE McCarthy, a Vietnam war hero would have been played by Yul Brenner. And last, but NEVER LEAST, I would be played by Robert DeNiro OR Al Pacino. The movie would have been a hit. If only I had the skill, determination, luck, and talent - I would have written a GREAT BOOK about that place !!!!
