I am 100% pro-choice and multilateralism. If you dont run multilateralism/multiculturalism, you face the problem of mass emigration and economic recession. Getting rich fast would never go out of fashion because this is a risk-loving country. With that being said, quantitatively you have a LARGER and more DIVERSIFIED portfolio if you incorporate bonds, bond options and bond derivatives. For emerging markets, especially the best of us, mass horizontal diversification is just unnatural. But vertical diversification is actually not a bad idea because you have your stock option, bond options and look-back options.
