I am Gabriel. I do not struggle to have brown hair, I do not - TopicsExpress

I am Gabriel. I do not struggle to have brown hair, I do not strain to have green eyes. My height is set and no amount of effort on my part will add one inch to my stature. These things are a result of who I am naturally and, as with breathing, occur without any thought on my part. So it is with faith. Christianity is not something I do, it is who I am. All that I do, or that you do, is done as a result of who we are in our hearts. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:45) Jesus has imparted to me His righteousness and I am born by His Grace. If we believe it to be our deeds as servants that curry favor with God then we are lost. If we ARE something then our words and deeds reveal it naturally; not as an obligatory effort, but as a natural circumstance of being children who have inherited the characteristics of their Father.
