I am HOME! Will be here for a couple of days anyway.. Its wonderful to be here even tho most of my time will be spent cleaning..The first thing we did was to jump on the four wheeler and check the fish net and the fish hook holes.. Two BIG pike, one lush, one white fish and one shee fish.. The hooks were nada and were a couple of miles downriver on glare frozen river.. That was quite a ride for me holding on to Rogers back...We had the lush for dinner and I also fried up the liver. It is sweet tasting and MMMMM.. Roger filleted everything but the pike and we have several meals put away.. While I put away a lot of produce.. I sort of overdid it with carrots from Matsu but hopefully they will keep well in the root cellar... The pike will be saved to bring to Galena in case anyone wants to make fish ice cream.. It is a working on wood day and the weather is so beautiful to spend the day outdoors.... Marten are jumping into traps.. And the chickadees are feeding on sunflower seeds outside the window where I am sitting.. The gray jays are still busy putting away scrapes.. Its a good day.. Still very mild for this time of year and might as well take advantage of it.. Roger will haul some more logs mechanically outside the house also for later cut up.. More birch I hope.. With the Kaboda.. Snow slid off the greenhouse so dont have to worry about that right now.. Put gunny sacks over the this years planting of perennial strawberries..
