I am Hindu by birth. There is no special thing that makes me a Hindu other than the reason that I was born to a father and mother belonging to Hindu faith. You may call me a cultural Hindu because I fund/follow all our ceremonies despite the fact that I don’t derive any meaning are fulfillment from it. I deny knowledge about the absolute is possible for us. Today one from the neighborhood visited without any invitation and insisted that I must repent and follow Jesus for heavenly rewards. All I can tell you crusaders is 1) I can face death without the comforts of afterlife. 2) The absolute morality professed by religious people is based on payoffs in eternity. My morality is based on empathy. I want to be good for the sake of goodness alone. 3) I will never understand god. Nor will I take any initiative to understand god. 4) No scripture is perfect because it is the product of human weakness. 5) There is no afterlife. 6) If lord god would put us in the comforts of heaven for we accepted him and would put us in eternal damnation for we did not accept him (although the way you lived was perfect) is something so absurd to me. I cannot even consider him as a god I will only regard him as a psychopath. When your home is on fire will you only save the obedient child and leave the disobedient child to the cruel nature of fire. When a human father would be so considerate to his children how can your father (who lives only in your hallucination) in heaven be so cruel to us. Pls do not knock at my door to save me from hellfire and to make me a Christian. This includes my face book door either. I don’t want to change my faith. According to me buddism and hindusim are the ideal religions for anyone to follow. But I would not force anyone to follow the same. Forcing others is against the morality I learnt from Hindusim. Like I don’t force you, don’t force me. If it is not fine with you, Get Out and Get Lost.
