I am Maniapoto via my matuas side. I am also Ngati Hine via my kuias side. It was there dream that this document would continue to give them freedom on there own whenua (lands) which for some it did and for others they kept holding on to there legal rights peacefully till it was there time to enter the wairua world , on looking back they have pondered over what went wrong for the next generation for they have become slaves within there own whenua (lands) why has this happen they say, we were once warriors now our people are lost sheep...... I am the next generation I talk and walk the path of my forbears I to wonder what went wrong. I also stand frustrated at the division that is going on amongst our people, some groups have gone far right and some far left some are lagging behind and other are so far ahead many cant catch up, how can we be free when we are all so far a part. When you yell Tino Rangatiratanga I cant hear you because you are so far away, so ask yourself whanaus how do we meet in the middle..... Rumor has it that the assembly that has been organised for February 03 2015 is the first time hapus have been called back early to Waitangi to discuss matters going forward, is this the time for us to meet in the middle, is this our calling of urgency, the wairua say its time to put our animosities aside and sit down together as one and bring what you have learnt from the colonial system also bring the ideas of Hohepa Mapiria, gather your thoughts on hapu sovereignty or kawanatanga and most importantly bring our Tupuanas flag lets fly them high well traveling north and let this NZ fraudulent government know we mean business this time for we are awake and we are no-longer prisoners or aliens within our own whenua ka whawhai tonu ahau ki a koe, ake ake ake!!!
