I am NOT embarrassed to say I sat on a psychiatrists sofa for a few good years when I turned 30 it saved my life. I remember he kept asking why I didnt hurt myself. Of course, my first answer was that I wouldnt want to put my mom through that nor my new husband. But, he knew better and kept asking and then one day I said, I know I am here for a greater purpose to help people and I am not even sure being a teacher is it. I guess it was those days that I truly wanted wanted to see where my road led and maybe it wasnt crashing my car into a tree. Your life will have many bends in the road and quite frankly there were many times I wasnt sure where I was going, what I was doing and for a period of time gave up the notion that i would be meant to do something. The only other thing other than being a mother I am sure of is I was MEANT to do this working as a coach. Its not easy but it is gratifying and makes it so full circle to see people literally change their life right before your eyes. Its amazing to see how YOU as a person must change in order to lead others. I certainly didnt set out to be a success as a coach. I set out to fix myself once more and quite possibly finally dealing with whatever demons were still left. In that quest I attracted some amazing people who believed like I that they were built for something else to help others possibly in a way they never imagined. We received our rankings last week and I was surprised to see that my team and I were ranked #29 out of 225,000 coaches...little old me in the second half of my life doing something that most people on that list are years younger than I. I have a suspicion that most people have a calling or an urge that they cant figure out. They sometimes just feel that their imperfections make them less desirable. I have learned it is EXACTLY those imperfections that may be grooming you to talk the steps to go pursue what is calling you. We all have a gift. Figure out what yours is, find the best vehicle to use it and just go riding :)
