I am NOT going to be so naive to state that racism is dead. It SHOULD be dead, but recent events have clearly shown us the fallacy in that logic. Its a shame. I also have to admit that Ive SEEN WITH MY OWN TWO EYES that profiling IS done, so ANYONE that says it doesnt happen, Im sorry but your full of it and have your head in the sand cause you are NOT looking around and seeing jack! That being said, what happened in Ferguson isnt JUST happening to one race. While its true that black people are getting bullets, the beatings are ALSO deadly as well. To be fair, if I were going to die by cop, Id take a bullet over what Kelly Thomas got (and those guys were acquitted despite video of the man BEGGING FOR HIS LIFE). Or the homeless guy that was shot in the desert and then justified. There is a HUGE problem that we all face and when we realize that, instead of fighting amongst ourselves, it will ONLY GET WORSE. I been sayin this for years! STOP DIVIDING, we are ALL HUMAN BEINGS, different pasts, different presents, different goals, different dreams, different packages, different voices but WE ARE ALL STILL THE SAME. NOT ONE LIFE IS BELOW ANOTHER and the MOMENT you see it as different, youve lost the point. Mike Brown on COUNTLESS threads was disregarded as a thug, because of an ASSUMPTION of guilt. Kelly Thomas was disregarded cause he was a loafer, shiftless homeless. Turns out that they were wrong about Mike Brown, that if the business owner of the place where the alleged robbery happened wasnt even going to call the cops, then its a non-issue. It took a WHITE PERSON saying the same thing as EVERY DAMNED PERSON IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD to come forward before we saw it? (I saw it but apparently that makes me ignorant). ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE! But we have to start with the choices WE make every day. Start by STOPPING to see other people as different, and start seeing them as PEOPLE.
