I am SO happy to let everyone know Caston got a good report (as my Mamaw would say) at his cardiology appointment!!! The coarctation they found after his open heart surgery has widened enough that they arent concerned about surgery to repair it anymore! He still has a small ascending aorta, two leaflets instead of three (but no leaking), mild mitral stenosis and they found sub-aortic narrowing (measures 23, not alarming until measuring about 40-45). He has what is called Shones Syndrome (which is just what they call all of these defects grouped together). And we dont have to go back for an entire YEAR!!!! Hooray!!! This is Castons groggy Yay face after being sedating and waking up. 💙❤💙
