I am SO thankful to have had the tragedy of divorce, having to raise my boys on my own, having to struggle with all the overlapping time commitments and obligations, having to manage through the issues associated with acting as the mother and the father to 3 boys through teenage years, and all the endless criticisms, judgments and interference from people who never walked a day in my shoes... Im thankful for it all. ALL those hardships led me to the life I have today. I accomplished something bigger than myself. Something I could have easily made excuses not to do. I have passionately helped many people who have faced hardships overcome them, too. I know in my heart I have set an example of perseverance and strength for my boys to model should they so choose. Its easy to play the victim. Its easy to make excuses. Its easy to listen to the judgments of others. Its easy to miss out on living an enriched and fulfilled life, too!
