I am SO very proud of one of my students.... She is an avid and dedicated animal rescue person and had taken on a dog with SERIOUS fear and behavioral issues coming from a hoarding situation where he had lived for 10 years in a barn and had rarely seen the light of day. She and her husband attended my Reactive Integration class and with their hard word and dedication he blossomed. She recently contacted me regarding how to handle him with the opening of dove season and the gun shots that he heard during the day (they live in the country) when he went out to potty. She asked if she could use the Click the Trigger protocol with the sound of the gun-shot and had already been using hand targeting and basic obedience skills to keep him thinking so that he wouldnt be so afraid. I love it when the student learns what they need to know to help their dogs. YOU ROCK!!!!
