I am Super (Weekly Devotional & Prayer/Please Read, Like & Share) “My grace is sufficient for you, for prayer is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” (2 Cor. 12:9) I love movies, and I say that with excitement. . . In the movie Thor, he is considered a mythical god of the Norse culture; he is superhuman. Throughout the movie, Thor is anointed with power and authority but was not yet appointed by his father in the time that he thought that he was ready. Thor’s arrogance covered his meekness—his disregard overshadowed his concern and his stubbornness cloaked his ability to be flexible. However, Thor did not come into what he was destined to be until he was stripped of everything that he knew and power that he had. He learned to be meek in the face of weaker opposition. His concern for life took precedence over his disregard and he became flexible. . . At the moment of his weakness, Thor became powerful and his destiny began to take shape. As humans our sinful nature can cast a cloud over our true purpose and destiny that God has for us. But if you do not know . . . We are all superhuman beings. Scripture states that we were made in His image and likeness—so we all have power. But our arrogance, pride, and stubbornness keep us in a stagnated position. Only when we lose ourselves and find God and His will for our lives can His power be perfected. In Thor’s time of brokenness he was rebuilt with a different standard of living. . . In our time of brokenness, God looks to rebuild us in our weakness so that He can appoint us to where we can give Him the glory. Prayer of the week: “Lord, I thank you for perfecting your power through my weak state that You may get all the glory that you rightfully deserve. All things that I am is solely attributed to You and only You. Continue to mold me into the person that I need to be so that I may be able to introduce and guide people to You. I love You for who you are and all that You look to do in my life. I give You the praise, honor, and glory—In Jesus name; Amen!”
