I am WORN OUT. I picked Gabe up Friday night and will have him until Tuesday morning. Yesterday I made eight quarts of peach pie filling, using up about half the box of peaches I have. The other half is pretty hard still. Only seven quarts fit in the canner, so darn, I was FORCED to make peach cobbler. Also made the "boys" blueberry pancakes and eggs for breakfast. I took the last of the tomatoes and started cooking them down. I had about 20 lbs of cherry and grape tomatoes, and another 20 or so big beef and brandy boy tomatoes. This morning I put them through the food mill and then made five pints of ketchup and ten more pints of pizza sauce. This is the first time I have made ketchup, so it is an experiment. I have a loaf of bread baking and a pot of beef stew on the stove for dinner tonight. I still have the whole box of pomegranates to juice and make into jelly, but they will keep I think. I also have the juice I made from the peach skins and juice to turn into jelly. Since I still have a bunch of peach jelly from last time, I am considering making some really strong lavender tea and making Peach Lavender jelly.
