I am a Christian who lives in the second highest populated Muslim region in America! I have had many friends and associates who are Muslim and whom I have been able to bond with in a common hope of peace, freedom and safety for our own loved ones, our homes and families. I have come to see that there is as much divides and differences and interpretations within Islam as we can find in our own sects of Christianity. The common bond that we can all begin to agree on though is always our love for our own families and friends. You see at heart. God is Love. Whether we are in the middle east, Europe, Canada, China, Africa, India, America or anywhere else we can think of on this planet. God is still love! In Psalms 24:1 King David tells us in song that The earth is the LORDs, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. My stance as a Christian who believes that Jesus was crucified, resurrected and has been ascended and enthroned and who is now sitting at the right hand side of The Father in the heavenly places where he has been crowned Lord over all and where he is now pouring out His Holy Spirit and Love on all who will receive. My stance is that we should remain seated with him and continue to love Muslims and everyone else for that matter. As Christians filled with The Holy Spirit. I believe we should seek to stay rooted in Gods love and make it our goal to remain in his love as we seek to understand and while doing so allow the light of God to expose one anothers hates, hurts, divides, doctrinal differences and hang ups. When we find lies people are believing about God, themselves or one another we then need to speak the truth of Gods freedom, forgiveness, healing, restoration and love to them. Love that should be found in our personal relationships with one another. Not through cruel corporate, cultural or religious bias. To be a genuine friend to your neighbor and to show genuine compassion, love and concern for one another. Those in Christ as well as for those who are not. King David told us in Proverbs 25:21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. Jesus himself spoke to us and told us in Matthew 5:44 I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! He tells us again in Matthew 7:12 that In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. I have come to see that it is when we first open our hearts to receive this love from God to ourselves and then overflow this love to all (their families, friends, homes, towns and cities) we are now being positioned to stand in the way that God empowers. Clearly stated. Love is The Way! The truth of Gods love for us all demolishes any lies someone is believing within any religion even my own Christianity. Gods truth will never violate his love. The truth of Gods love for us all and his creation is sharper than any double edged sword and Gods Love Blessings being dropped on us even now can be more powerful than any Nuclear Bomb. Let me now endeavor to go a little deeper. I say that now is the time for us all to reconsider the fulfillment of Isiah 2:4 and revisit the other that has already come to pass in Joel 3:10. I say now is the time that we allow love to judge between the nations and allow love to settle our disputes (Selah.) The fruit of an even greater fulfillment of Joels prophecy of The Holy Spirit being poured out on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) is the unfulfilled prophesies of (Isaiah 2) that speaks of our return to Gods original covenant offer at Mt. Sinai. A covenant that was rejected by Israel but has gloriously been re offered to us all in Christ. You see, Joel 3 as well as Matthew 23 speaks of Gods wrath being poured out in a final fulfillment of the old covenant he had made with Israel which consisted of his agreement to punish them for any infractions of their covenant agreement. You know, the whole Deuteronomy 28 Blessed if you do and cursed if you dont covenant stuff. You see, For God to punish Israel when they broke covenant with him was in fact God remaining true to his end of the deal but this was not at all the original covenant that God had offered Israel that day from the mountain. As Israel stood there at the foot of Mt, Sinai in a place in which they ALL HEARD his voice. He offered them A Grant Covenant but filled with fear they collectively rejected Gods offer to govern them all and instead decided to send Moses up the mountain to carve out a Kinship Covenant with God in which they remained until 70.a.d. at the destruction of their temple. They rejected his love and offer to be their God that day. A covenant in which he desired to be their God and for them all to be his people and for him to rule over them and to live in their hearts as King and ruler but due to fear of him his offer was rejected by them. Gods offer of his love was rejected due to the fear they had of him in their hearts. In the new covenant (The Covenant in which I am an ambassador of) Gods perfect love comes in and casts all the fear out freeing us to embrace once again Gods original offer to Israel on Mt. Sinai. This Covenant explained again so beautifully and clearly in Hebrews chapter 8 when the author says When God speaks of a new covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. Through this lens and correct understanding of the scriptures I promise you the whole bible becomes Revealed. When we stop placing old covenant punishments on the heads of whom Christ came to clearly Forgive and love. When we let the past be the past and as Paul had said continue to press on forward toward what should be at heart of all our collective wills. Love will prevail. God is Love, Gods will is good, His Kingdom come, here on earth as it s heaven. Let love rule in all our hearts. One for another and we all will be on our way to knowing the Father. His love for his kids and the power of His Kingdom Come. Let us allow love to rule the nations. God is love. In his love pastor Scott Boggs
