I am a Democrat and a clicktivist for the progressive cause. I support policies I believe to be beneficial to a thriving, upwardly mobile middle class. If it is good for these people, every other class will thrive well enough to satisfy most of their ambitions and/or greed. The middle class is under assault in this country from an array of threats too numerous to mention. However, the main threat to our well being is the existing tax code. It has been orchestrated over the years to play sweet music for an elite few. We must recognize this and act accordingly as it has been very destructive to the general welfare of the nation. If you want things to change, it must begin here. It takes political power and we must awaken and organize more lower and middle class Americans to the cause. The cause is to build a strong, viable upwardly middle class and it the wealthy elite must share some of the wealth, then so be it. Change the tax laws so those that have more pay more.They will still be wealthy, our goal is not to destroy but to rein in their power and influence.
