I am a a lost for words. I made it through 27 years of life in this mean world & greeted 28 with a smile. I learned a long time ago that there is NO truth to you young, you still got time.......therefore I vowed to use my time more wisely! Id been an apprentice for 8 long years, using the excuse of fear to avoid going to state board. I went.....I failed....I cried....I studied.....I went again......I passed! The end of the testing process was September 2014. 4 months later, I have gone all the way! I wanted to give up so many times! I was tired of working long hours & being broke! I was tired of the obstacles I ran into. I was tired of the funny looks & bad attitudes.....but I made it! So many of my mothers encouraged me along the way & I am thankful! If I call names, I may miss some & I dare not do that! You know who you are......it is to you that I send the sincerest, most humble THANK YOU to! I appreciate you more than you could ever imagine. I appreciate the support from every aspect in which it came! I thank God for placing each of you in my life at the time He saw fit. I am a believer of divine intervention because I now have evidence! I am forever grateful to you all & I pray that you all accept this in the most genuine way! My birthday 2015 was a success....& now I share it with my dream come true..... the j.marie salon! I have given this business back to God for him to cradle & nature it with his divine power.......Im simply an overseer! Special thank yous to my awesome mother Lori Ann Curry & my step dad Dexter Curry for being my backbone for this business! Thank you to my wonderful husband Dennis Terry for pushing me when I didnt want to be pushed.....& still loving me through it all! Thank you to Tangela Harris, Carol Tims, Tosha Manuel, Chasity Drain-Stephens, Teresa Rhodes-Warren, Yasmin Smith Teague, Nakeitra Jones Odoms, Douglas Pitts, April Dean, Jessica Nicole, my sisters Jasmine Wilcox & Janiece Birts, Keith Hammock & His wonderful wife!
