I am a college graduate..I subbed for 3rd/4th special education classes as an aide and when the lesson was on this.. I had to be taught..in fact..the comment in class was. Class this is Mrs. Toader..she does not understand our way of doing math..can we show her how it is done? Admist the laughing and comments I felt like I had just regressed. So I was told to show them how to do division..ha ha. No, one ever told me that they removed the line on division and now use ladders. I choose not to sub this class again. Not, if I have to relearn everything. What was wrong with the way it was working before? And I never got to use calculators in class when I was learning the fundamentals. Oh they have a new way of doing that too..its called dots. You are not allowed to write on the paper unless you have proof of your dots..that is just one more unnecessary step to cause confusion. Dont get me started on grammer..that is a story for another day..lol Have a blessed day!
