I am a conscious artist deeply entrenched in the way history affects our growth as humanity. I read daily from the Bible to provide me my armor as I uncover knowledge through other types of literature. My people are at the forefront of my discovery as I try to do my part in the re education of my people. Came across a bit of knowledge disturbing but the on going conflict aint nothing new. But its important to be aware. Keep your friends and family close, but keep your enemies closer. Quote: Wide use of the death penalty against blacks would continue through the 19th century and into the 20th, pushed by Southern whites who saw capital punishment as necessary to restrain a dangerous black population. “If the death penalty were to be removed from our statute-books,” explained former Arkansas governor George Hays in 1927, “the tendency to commit deeds of violence would be heightened owing to this negro problem.” One pro-lynching activist, speaking in 1897 during the heyday of lynching—an extrajudicial form of capital punishment—was more explicit: “If it takes lynching to protect woman’s dearest possession from drunken, ravening human beasts … then I say lynch a thousand a week if it becomes necessary.”
