I am a descendant of Genghis Khan and I have affirmed it by visiting his place of birth and cradle of power. I am built like him too, only less athletic. Perhaps I even got his intelligence, a gift that enabled him to plot the formation of an empire the size of which remains unparallelled. But here is a matter of faith, so accuracy does not matter, only the conviction that you are infact a detritus of the most prodigious gene does. But really, Bhutanese bear an amazing resemblance to the Mongolians. Perhaps we bear the closest features to them, more closer than even the Tibetans who are actually closer than we are to them geographically, politically, socially and historically. Perhaps it is this closeness that enabled us to retort their raid that was carried out on instigation of the Tibetans while the Bhutanese state was still nascent. Only a rock can withstand a rock. The mighty Mongolians who floored the whole Chinese and European armies at the zenith of their power found their match in the Bhutanese who exchanged blow for blow and in the end, possibly outwitted them. So, every Bhutanese who come here to Mongolia will have a sense of homecoming, for no matter how far you have strayed, you cannot outgrow the warmth of your origin that Mongolia is for Bhutanese like it is to one in every 12 men in the whole world.
