I am a happy person (because of my friends, family and hobbies) but three things do annoy me... 1. My own company (alone) 2. Empty/half full cinemas and empty seats generally 3. In cinemas, clapping is illegal!? Those said, it was actually a nice experience sat in a cinema enjoying BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL LIVE FROM THE WEST END on my own as I could, not only independently annoy the woman on my row but by promoting 42nd Street which I am in next month and tell them about my solicitors, reminisce about the first and only other time I saw the show starring Dillon Burgess and Callum Stretton, and compare them both (impossible to compare the professional West End with a semi professional one but hey, it remains my all-time favourite musical and film). I always waffle about the excitement and pride I feel abut seeing young, budding and aspiring actors perform, but seeing 10/11/12 year olds playing such an iconic role as the lead in Billy Elliot, which is so instrumental and inspirational to so many male dancers starting out and camp/gay men battling with the decision to come out or be accepted for being different, makes me extremely proud to be involved with such a brilliant industry! Well done to all involved with the show and congratulations to the cast, production team and back room people (unsung heroes) who successfully managed to get the show broadcast to cinemas, not just all over the Uk but the world!
