I am a high school teacher of 15 years and also have an 8 year old learning the common core curriculum. As both a teacher and a parent, I have always had my concerns as to the true motive behind high-stakes testing and how it has warped our vision of what education should be. I applaud this movement and have already begun to spread the word to my Facebook friends who share those same concerns. I am not clear as to how the opt out movement feels about CC and was hoping to get clarity on that.
