I am a lady of almost 8 years of age and I have so many things wrong with me right now. Many of those things can be treated with medicine but some will need a lot more than that. I am very frightened. My name is Kenna. I came to Soi Dog from a nearby temple. I had been attacked by another dog, which left me with a wound on my back. When the vets examined me though, they found so many other problems. I am suffering from mange, blood parasites, severe anaemia and septicaemia. My skin is crusted; my eyes are oozing with discharge. I walk slowly. Everything hurts. Nobody has ever been nice to me before so even though the people here are gentle and tell me they are going to help me, I do sometimes try to bite them. I am ashamed to tell you this, but I cannot help it. I am scared. I am trying to be nicer to the Soi Dog people because I am starting to feel a bit better since being here. One of the vets told me I should thank the members of the Emergency Response Team. It is the donations of these special Soi Dog supporters that meant I could be helped.
