I am a little jealous because he put it into words so well and I’ve been trying to do this for a while... Ive been trying to explain this in different ways, attacking people like Oprah and their cheap spirituality lectures, or so called spiritual leaders, self improvement, self help, affirmations.... so forth and so on. what a joke. seriously if you know the sky is blue you don;t go around repeating that in the mirror. why because you know it to be so. The only thing you affirm in the mirror is the fact that you actually dont know. When you say things like all is good , all is light what you do you are actually implying that is not so. because every positive has a negative , every outside an inside, every above a below and so on. Again. if you know it with all your being you dont need to repeat it endlessly to yourself... On the other hand he talks about people you know they are asleep, you know theyre hallucinating , youre not going to wake them up so really what do you expect? Monkey see monkey do. They meditate to attract a new car, a new job. Jesus have mercy. But monkeys only see the end result. And monkey never get there because that is not the goal, that is a result. Of what? of many many days sometimes years of self inquiry, of extracting meaning from ones path, from ones experiences and from trying to know ones own mythology. I will say it again if you are not able to extract meaning from your own experiences and to figure out the meaning of your own life then what is the point of you even being here? If you wait for somebody else to tell you the meaning of your own life , what are you then? And I dont say that without compassion. Compassion does not equal wishful thinking. Wake up.
