I am a little late on the news of the terrible acts of violence and vandalism perpetrated by a mob of unruly black youth in Downtown Louisville last Saturday. My heart sincerely goes out to all of the victims. I am shocked and appalled. I am certain many of us are left wondering why and how could this happen? I think Frederick Douglass said it best Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe. I am not condoning the treachery of the incident. But I aint blind either. Wake up.
