I am a lover of all music. Have been since I was a little lass. I am particularly fond of metal and 90s grunge music. One of my favorite singers of all time was and still is Layne Staley of Alice in Chains. ( I named my son after him. ) What a haunting, melodic and amazing voice that one had. He was a broken, misunderstood soul who battled the demon of addiction until it took his life. I also through out the years have been very fond of Metallica. From them taking me off to Never, Never Land to Riding the Lighting I was impressed with their musical diversity and talent. But I stumbled across something today on YouTube that has forever changed my mind about them. All except Jason ( the former bass player). While searching for videos of Alice in Chains I found a video of Metallica making fun of Layne and his addiction. I was sickened by what I had seen. It forever changed my outlook on the three members of the band and I am pretty sure I will never have the same respect I had left for them. ( They pretty much sold out). So to you Kirk, Lars and James I have but one thing left to say about you...Your talent has went beyond the means of most in this world, but your disrespect shown towards a fellow musician who was struggling with a disease that took his life will forever be etched in my mind.
