I am a strong proponent of opening the door to techniques that might possibly improve the way in which we monitor earthquakes in Alaska and elsewhere. But to suggest that the M3.9 earthquake near Talkeetna on Friday was somehow detected a day in advance 400 miles away in Kodiak is not only bogus science, it is knowingly dishonest. We have been watching this program for several months now and have called the project leads to present to the Alaska Seismic Hazards Safety Commission. If anyone has been involved first hand with this projects Alaska involvements please let us know. I would be interested to speak with you. I hesitate to post a link, but here is one version of the story that is circulating: juneauempire/state/2015-01-25/nasa-brings-earthquake-monitoring-ketchikan
