I am a strong supporter of our Animal Control Officers. Over the last 3 years, I have seen many flippant comments and many accusations by those who do not take the time to speak to those being accused personally. Most Animal Control Officers abide by a chain of command - they are not free spirits making their own policies and decisions. Most are abiding by those laws, restrictions and rules imposed by your town or city politicians. Yet they remain the target without support. Most Animal Control Officers are very open, honest, overworked, and underpaid. Most remain caring, focused, and determined to make a difference every single day with or without our support.
