I am a survivor. I will keep on living. I will not give up nor give in. As I stand upon this precipice, a whole world spread before me, I will remember to breathe. When I survived, I remembered nothing at the time. With time, I recalled. I learned to breathe again in the legacy of that which tried to steal my breath. I am who I am today because of all the things that happened, but those things do not define me. No one gets to judge me based on those things. They are mine, solely, alone, forever. I am here now. I am a survivor. I will move forward in the name of all my brothers and sisters and those whose genders are other than binary but are no less my family. Regardless of class. Regardless of race or ethnicity. Regardless of color or appearance. Regardless of anything that makes a human human. I will not yield to fear, hate, ignorance, or stupidity. I am a survivor. I stand with love.
