I am a terrible navigator. I know this about myself. Its cool. I get lost all the time, especially when Im trying to follow directions. Usually when I get really turned around I stop driving and take a break. Like I get out of my car and walk around. When I first moved to Sterling I used to always make wrong turns and end up at a construction site near my house. I would get out and throw some rocks. Sometimes I would stomp jump around and pretend I was Godzilla. One time I was trying to go camping and I go so lost I say down in an open field and ate a cheeseburger. Anyway, last night I was driving home from a late night diner that I frequent. I was so sure I knew where I was going I was barely paying attention. Total auto pilot mode. I GOT SO LOST. By the time I was paying attention I had no idea where I was. I was so pissed at myself I wouldnt even get out of the car to take my normal mental break. I made myself sit there in silence, no radio when youre being punished. I had I just sit and realize what I had done. Then I turned on my gps and went home.
