...I am about to leave the office to continue working at home. For good reasons: First, it is really annoying that I have to jostle for space in traffic with you lot. Since Ive not yet been allocated a Police Motorcade, I want to hit the road before you mere mortals interfere with my driving. Secondly, today being Friday, the Ladies of The Night around the Cantonments Post Office will be out in full force. I have to leave before nightfall. I dont want any mishap, nor controversy brewing around me. I may just stop to buy Kingsbite chocolate, but I dont want to be on the front page of P&P (is that paper around) with a bold headline that I was seen buying other things. Lastly, I discovered, to my chagrin, that the alternative Kanda route behind the Flagstaff/Jubilee House isnt safe either. Apart from the traffic-generating rumble strips, there is a Koko Seller parading the area wearing a T-Shirt with the inscription AM I ON YOUR WISH LIST!!! A very pregnant question indeed, and so close to the Presidency! I dont know if Osimesi (you know who), given his reputation, has registered his interests. Quite apart from not having a wish list myself, I dont want Osimesi to misinterpret my movements in that Security Zone. ;-) Good evening folks...and have a great weekend!
