I am about to lose my mind. Just saw a post of a calf that happened to have been born male. Rather than sending him to veal slaughter in one piece as the dairy industry does because males dont produce milk they had to kill him to the head with a hammer so that he had no face left. Really???? Is this what has to happen for people to enjoy their milk, butter and cheese??? What a sickening society that participates in this. I am so very sorry that I participated and paid into it for so many years. I am sickened by what I am learning. Sickened that I am of the species that would cause such destruction. Breaks my heart they didnt ask to be born and what little life they had was a living hell. I am feeling sick beyond words right now and very sad.
