I am about to start searching and listening to music online to try find some music for pending podcasts I must record and for this Thursday at BBB Sunninghill. It just occured to me that I spend money on these podcasts basically and dont get paid for them. There is money involved in having a podcast. Soundcloud Pro is at R450 or so a year and 2 SC Pro accounts make it R900. It may be nothing but its a cost. I now have a iTunes card which costs R250 just so I can buy music cheaper but its still a cost. Podcasts are supposed to promote you as an artist but since doing guest mixtapes I have never had a person call me for a booking cos they heard my mixtape on some show etc... These just grow your audience basically and all one can do is work hard for the future and grow the music career. There is no I hope I can get more bookings... There is only Let me get myself here so I can get a booking and thus some little money from a little hour set or so Therefore there is no HOPE in this music, just hard work. The appreciation of music is very little. So, why do we do it? Maybe because we love it(music)?
