I am absoloutely DEVASTATED. 15 year old Hanaa died yesterday. May Allah accept her amongst the shuhada. It has been a strange journey these last few weeks getting to know her family. How inspired they were by the hope we brought them trying to convince them everyday that she was going to be ok. Sadly it was too little too late. Alhamdulillah for her inshallah it will be a good ending, Bi idhnillah ta alla in Jannah she will reside, but what will be our state for our failings as an ummah thats the real question? Wallahi on yawm al qiyama we will be asked about what we did for our sisters. For 5 months she languished in a refugee camp without the right medicine which could have saved her life. Up until the point where she lost the ability to walk. After all the sadness though this young girl and her story gives me the fire to keep working harder everday. I ask everyone out there to make dua for me and my family and to accept us as shuhada of Shaam. I ask Allah to bless everyone who has ever supported any of our projects or any project that supports the ummah. Ameen As always in this path that we are blessed to be upon. Many lessons learned. I thank Allah for everyday I have with my family and ask that Allah accept what little we can offer him. Ameen And finally I ask Allah to forgive us ALL. Ultimately it is only by his mercy and his grace that we will prevail.
